McCann Worldgroup recruits new global boss
McCann Worldgroup has appointed former Constituency Management Group chief executive Harris Diamond as its new boss. Diamond will replace chief executive Nick Brien, who has stepped down from his role.

Masterchef swells with two new sponsors
Electrical company Sunbeam and car company Fiat Chrysler have signed on as sponsors of Network Ten's forthcoming Masterchef series and its Masterchef: The Professionals spin-off. The companies join supermarket Coles as sponsors.

NFL hits up Urban Geek
The NFL has appointed digital ad sales agency Urban Geek Media to promote its range of commercial goods. The agency will create online ads for the NRL's assets viewable on computer, mobile and tablet devices.

Tumblr enlists We Are Social for new program
Blogging platform Tumblr has recruited global social media agency We Are Social to work on its new international brand-focused program. Launching today, the program has been designed to help brands work with well-suited partners to ensure they get the most of Tumblr. The agency's eight offices around the world will work on the program.

Responsys urges local retailers to start Christmas campaigns
Australian digital marketers have until 19 November 2012 to kick off their Christmas campaigns or will miss out on sales, according to online marketing company Responsys' director of insights Tim Beveridge. Beveridge advised local retailers to start their campaigns now to ensure local retailers don't shop only with US brands, many of which have already kicked off their campaigns.
