Australian supermodel Miranda Kerr is to front the frequent flyer tie-up between Qantas and David Jones, with details of the partnership to be revealed during the week.

Kerr is already a brand ambassador for both Qantas and David Jones, so she is the clear choice to front the alliance.

While details of the marketing tie-up have been patchy so far, the two brands have today sent out a release revealing Kerr will be on hand as the details of the deal are announced.

The tie-up was initially revealed in June, where it was announced Qantas Frequent Flyer points will be available as a reward option for David Jones' American Express cards and Storecard programs.

David Jones chief executive Paul Zahra said in June:  “We are delighted to welcome Qantas Frequent Flyer as a new partner to our David Jones card rewards program to sit alongside our current American Express Membership Rewards program.”

Just last week, Qantas revealed Kerr would front an upcoming national Qantas Club campaign promoting the airline's frequent flyer program. At the time, she was not linked to the marketing tie-up between Qantas and David Jones, but the link is obvious.
