Microsoft hits up Apple with punchy dance spot

By AdNews | 18 October 2012

In what is most likely an attempt to steal market share from rival Apple and its popular iPad, Microsoft in the US has released an ad for its new Surface tablet.

The spot doesn't reveal any of the tablet's features, but opts to tell consumers the new product is "a movement".

The ad shows crumping school kids, double-jointed dancers and kissing old people, and sits somewhere between a talent show promo and a music video.

In the last few months, Samsung and Nokia have launched assaults at Apple in a bid to champion their products and crush the behemoth's cult-like following.
