Former Ogilvy and Clemenger boss Melinda Eskell sadly passed away overnight in London.
Eskell, 60, had served in global marketing communications roles for Unilever and Heineken after leaving Australia in 2005. She was managing director of Amsterdam-based agency Strawberry Frog between 2010 and 2012 and in May joined PR group Weber Shandwick to lead digital and integrated communications for Europe.
In Australia Eskell was managing director of Ogilvy & Mather in the late 1990s and general manager of Clemenger BBDO until 2004.
Eskell was highly regarded and renowned for her no-nonsense management style. A full report will feature in the June 28 print and iPad editions of AdNews.
