Whybin TBWA Melbourne managing director Mark Watkin has resigned after two years with the agency.

Watkin joined Whybin in May 2011 from George Patterson Y&R where he was head of account service. He has also worked for Hyperlink Interactive and Saatchi & Saatchi in the UK.

Whybin TBWA chairman Scott Whybin said: “Mark came in at a time when significant growth occurred in Melbourne. He was a part of that and I will always be thankful for his contribution. But he has some firm thoughts on where he wants his life to go and we respect that and we wish him all the best.”

Watkin said: “It's been an amazing 2-year journey with Whybin, its growth has been extraordinary and it's been a privilege to have been part of it and work with such great people. I want to take some time to think about what I do next, but above all spending some time with my family is a priority.”

Whybin Melbourne's chief executive is Andrew Scott.
