MasterChef 2011 season finale.

Shine Australia has appointed Fox Interactive Media managing director Nick Love to the role of managing director, replacing London-bound Ben Liebmann who has held the job for the past 11 months.

Love will be responsible for Shine Australia’s non-broadcast business including brand partnerships, sponsorship, retail, consumer goods, digital, live events and home entertainment, while Liebmann heads to the UK to take up the role of Shine 360.

Reporting to Mark and Carl Fennessy, Love will oversee the Australian team of brand director of partnerships Lisa Coren and director of consumer and retail strategy Petrina Frost and work on developing global franchises including MasterChef.

Mark Fennessy said: “I am thrilled to welcome Nick to the Shine family. His expertise across business development, multiplatform and brands will be a great asset and his leadership will be invaluable in what is a key part of the Shine Australia business.”

Love said: "I am delighted to be joining … at such an exciting time. Combining such a talented team with Shine’s brands and content the potential for the Shine 360 business is enormous.”

While at Fox, Love drove the repositioning of Myspace and was one of the first employees responsible for online and mobile business development and commercial strategy across Australian and New Zealand.

Love has also held a number of commercial roles at Soundbuzz, ARIA, ICE Interactive and Electronic Arts after beginning in the legal profession.
