UM has appointed Melbourne general manager David Angell as managing director, with Wendy Gower leaving Melbourne for Sydney.
Gower will relocate back to Sydney for family reasons. She has been managing director of UM Melbourne since August last year, prior to which she was general manager of UM Sydney.
It is currently unclear what Gower's next move will be.
Angell joined as general manager in July having previously led the Myer business at Ikon.
UM national chief executive Mat Baxter said: "David is an enormously talented guy and I am really excited that he is taking on the Melbourne MD role. David has only been with us for a short time but he has already made a significant contribution to our business and his impact will be even greater now as managing director."
