Network Ten crept its way onto more TV screens across Australia last night, taking almost 20% of the free-to-air audience share – compared to 13% last Wednesday when it was contending with The Block: Fans versus Faves grand final on Nine.

Ten pulled in 19.6% of the audience share across Australia's five metro areas last night thanks to Eyewitness News, The Project, Jamie & Jimmy's Food Fight Club and Puberty Blues taking out spots 11 to 14.

All four shows made the top 10 for the 25-54 age group audience, according to preliminary overnight ratings figures from OzTam.

Jamie & Jimmy's Food Fight Club jumped up from 20th place on Tuesday night to 13th last night, with an audience of 582,000.

But Nine won the night overall, taking 29.5% of the audience share thanks to Nine News and Nine News at 6.30 winning the biggest audiences, with 1.201 million and 1.143 million respectively.

Seven followed, with 26.5% of the total audience share, with Seven News ranking highest for the network, in third spot with 1.084 million people watching.

Meanwhile, the My Kitchen Rules finals, which kick off on Monday, were heavily plugged on Seven last night with a 90-second teaser aired multiple times.

Shaun Micallef's Mad As Hell made the top 10 for the ABC, in eighth spot with an audience of 760,000.

Seven's Home and Away and Nine's RBT and Hot Seat also came in the top 10, with 895,000, 694,000 and 662,000 viewers respectively.

Completing the top 10 were Nine's A Current Affair, in fourth spot with 997,000 viewers, Seven's Today Tonight, fifth with 994,000, and ABC News, seventh with 886,000.
