Fairfax Metro Media has promoted sales director NSW Paul Sigaloff to the role of national agency sales director following the departure of Michael Riach.

Riach, sales director for Victoria, Queensland, Western Australia and South Australia, and general manager of print sales, has resigned from Fairfax Media after a decade with the company.

Sigaloff, whose promotion is effective immediately, will be focusing on agency relationships and revenue across all platforms in all states.

Agency group director Adrian Vallelonga has also received a promotion to sales director, Victoria, which will see him move from Sydney to Melbourne to take on the role.

“Adrian’s appointment is a reflection of his terrific work and proven track record since joining Fairfax four years ago,” Sigaloff said. “This internal appointment is also testament to the quality and calibre of staff we have working in the business.”

Vallelonga will begin his new role on 15 August, while Sarah Keith, who has been appointed director, print ad strategy and operations will join Fairfax on 30 August.
