An American, pedal to the metal spot from DC Shoes featuring rally driver Ken Block has commanded first place on this week's AdNews Video Viral Chart, boasting an astounding 23,200,458 million views on YouTube since its release a mere two weeks ago.

The commercial, shot on the streets of San Francisco, shows Block refining his 'Gymkhana' skills, a time-based motorsport where the driver's aim is to memorise the route and complete it with little to no mistakes. The ad is called 'The Ultimate Urban Playground' and was filmed over four days.

A spot promoting the new League of Legends computer game has taken out second place, clocking up 400,000+ views in the last few days. Qantas has made the chart twice, holding fourth place with its 'Atlas' spot featuring singer Daniel Johns, and ninth place with its new brand campaign. Other brands to feature on the chart are Dilmah, Lawsons Bread and Toyota.

The AdNews Viral Video Chart ranks Australia's most popular brand-funded videos based on a combination of views and natural sharing.

The chart is updated every two weeks based on data from YouTube and sharing activity on Facebook and Twitter. Note that the chart shows total views, not the number of views generated in the past fortnight, so entries with a higher number of cumulative views may appear lower down.
