Aegis Media digital agency Columbus has appointed Reprise Media's Rebecca Tos to the new role of national managing director.

In the role she will look over Sydney, Melbourne, Perth and Brisbane operations for the search engine marketing specialist.

Tos moves from MediaBrand's Reprise Media, where as general manager she was in charge of a team of 50 specialising in client driven media strategies focusing on search.

“I’m enormously excited about joining Columbus,” Tos said in a statement. “They’re an experienced team with a proven track record, who are leading the charge in innovation, technology and digital performance. I’m thrilled to be their new national managing director and I’m looking forward to evolving their already impeccable reputation and impressive client list.”

Managing director of Aegis Media's digital performance marketing division, Justine Watkins, said: “Columbus has evolved from one of Australia’s first specialist search agencies to become the country’s leading digital performance agency.

"We’re delighted to welcome Rebecca on board at Columbus. With a wealth of experience from agency, client and media side, she’ll play a pivotal role in continuing the evolution of Columbus, working closely with the state-based General Managers.”

Aegis Media also announced that Columbus has promoted Andreas Dzumla to general manager for NSW, also overseeing Brisbane while Annabel Hodges from OMD UK will join Columbus to head SEO and Content.

“Rebecca’s appointment along with the new roles for Andreas and Annabel are indicative of the growth and advancement that we’ve achieved,” said Watkins.

Tos will begin her new role in November.
