Coca-Cola calls the tune at the supermarkets

How to engage people at point of sale? Ogilvy Brazil has come up with something simple but effective for Coca-Cola. Make the till scanner beep differently at the supermarket.

Whether Coles or Woolis would be open to something similar in Australia remains a moot point - and if everyone started doing it, it might be like being back on the school bus with a bunch of kids trying out mono-phonic ringtones on their Nokias.

But this is novel, and the customers seemed to like it. At least the ones featured in the clip.
