Clemenger BBDO Melbourne was the toast of the AdNews Agency of the Year Awards, taking the Agency of the Year back to Melbourne along with three other top awards.
In front of a sell out crowd, James Packer inducted Harold Mitchell into the Advertising Hall of Fame, in recognition of his stellar achievements in a career stretching all the way back to 1960.
MediaCom emerged triumphant in the media categories twice, with the Sydney office winning Media Agency of the Year, and the national MediaCom network landing the Media Network of the Year award.
Clemenger BBDO Melbourne's impressive haul included Victorian Agency of the Year, Ad Campaign of the Year and the inaugural Game Changer Award for the NAB 'Break Up' campaign.
Clemenger's Sydney office also enjoyed a night of success, winning New South Wales Agency of the Year, while Clemenger BBDO was crowned Advertising Network of the Year.
Brisbane's BCM landed the State Agency of the Year award, while Lavender Communication Group took out Direct Agency of the Year. Soap Creative won Digital Agency of the Year for the third year in a row.
The Specialist Agency of the Year award went to Hulsbosch – Communication by Design, with Leo Burnett winning Promotion Agency of the Year, and Urban going home with the Experiential Agency of the Year award.
One Green Bean picked up the PR Agency of the Year award and BD Network was recognised with the Emerging Agency of the Year award.
In the campaign categories, OMD won Media Campaign of the year for Wrigley, a Tequila campaign took out the inaugural Digital Campaign of the Year and in another inaugural category, 303Lowe and the West Australia Office of Road Safety won Ad of the Year.
