Canon Australia has hired Vivien Lee as general manager of consumer marketing for its Consumer Imaging business. She starts this week and will report directly to Canon’s director of consumer imaging Jason McLean. Lee's primary focus will be to build the brand as a leader in marketing innovation and consumer engagement.
Lee joins Canon Australia from MLC where she was head of brand, digital & customer intelligence for the wealth division of NAB. She has previously held top marketing jobs at NRMA Motoring and American Express.
Such "broad and diverse experience" is just what Canon sought in appointing someone tasked with steering both the brand and its engagement with consumers, said McLean. "It is just what we need at a time of continual and significant shifts in consumer behaviour and the rapid growth of global online commerce."
He said Canon was "greatly impressed by Vivien’s passion and drive" and the company was very excited to welcome talent such as Vivien to this dynamic team.”
