EXCLUSIVE: Australian consumers have praised Apple, Steelcraft and Dyson as the best brands in the market, while Dodo and Nestle have copped a flogging, according to consumer review website ProductReview.com.au.

The product review website has launched its data from 2012, based on more than 65,000 reviews posted online, and found that the brand consumers are most satisfied with in Australia is Apple.

The next brands on the list, in order, were Steelcraft, Dyson, DeLonghi and Breville.

Meanwhile, the worst brand on the list, according to consumers, was internet service provider Dodo, followed by Nestle, Simpson, Whirlpool and Australia Post.

ProductReview.com.au marketing manager Sam Williamson told AdNews: “When you look through the reviews on Dodo, there were hundreds of customer reviews, and they talked about people waiting for weeks or months to have their internet hooked up, poor customer service, shocking internet speed, and misleading practises where people were told a modem is free then get a $25 postage charge.

“Apple, on the other hand, had three things going for it. Fantastic products, quick delivery and great customer service.”

Meanwhile, the top five shops in Australia on the site were Booktopia, Crazy Contacts, Wool Overs, Venom Protein and DVD Land, while the bottom five shops were Deals2U, Penta Group, Ouffer, Our Deal and Ready Flowers.

On the services front, the top five were Hire a Hubby, cover-More, Go-Sim, Travel Insurance Direct and amaysim, while the worst were Star Track Express, Origin Energy, Allied Express, Fastway and Australian Power & Gas.
