Air New Zealand's top Aussie marketer heads to departure lounges

Air New Zealand's top Australian marketer Kelly Millier is stepping down from the role after 11 years with the airline. She is taking on the head of brand communications role with New Zealand Lotto.

Millier ran the market development team for Air NZ in Australia for the last three years and has been responsible for driving revenue in the region. She is yet to be replaced.

The airline's marketing division was restructured earlier this year, splitting it into two divisions to bring the organisation in line with the way it operates in other regions. The market development team was headed up by Millier and brand development is headed up by Justine Murphy.

The brand development team is currently being headed up by Julie Bishop while Murphy is on maternity leave.

Millier, formerly marketing manager for Australia, lead the three-year Kiwi Sceptics campaign, the airline's biggest Australian advertising push in the last 10 years. The online reality show aimed to encourage Australian travellers to reconsider New Zealand as a destination.
