$4 million Monash University business in play as Maxus declines to repitch

Maxus has resigned the Monash University account after deciding not to pitch.

Managing director Nick Keenan said there were no hard feelings, and that the decision not to enter the review came down to a strategic difference of opinion on media direction. He claimed it was a “bold move on our part, but the right thing to do for our existing staff and clients”.

“We are very proud of the work we have done for Monash University over the last six years,” said Keenan. “We leave the account with strong demand, and a 21 per cent share of Victorian first preference, the highest market share of any university. We wish them well in the future”.

The account is thought to be worth around $4 million in total billings.
